Broccoly ("we", "us") is a mobile app that scans grocery receipts and shows nutritional and environmental information about the products you buy, along with spending insights. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you have questions, email support@broccoly-app.com.
Broccoly is free to use. The free plan includes a limited number of receipt scans per week — the allowance resets every Monday — and all of the app's insights. If you run out before the week is up, you can spend coins earned in the app on a few extra scans.
The scan allowance keeps the load on our product-matching servers predictable, and we may adjust it, and what the free plan includes, over time. If we do, changes apply from that point on and never retroactively remove receipts or history you have already saved. Where required, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
Broccoly rewards regular use with badges, XP, and coins. Coins can only be earned inside the app — they cannot be bought with real money — and can be spent on extra receipt scans. Coins:
Broccoly has no accounts. Your receipts, history, and coin balance live encrypted on your device, and uninstalling the app deletes them. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Please don't abuse the service: no attempting to disrupt or overload our matching servers, no probing or circumventing the app's technical limits or scan allowance, and no using the app for anything unlawful. We may suspend access to server-side features to protect the service.
Product, nutrition, and environmental information comes from the community Open Food Facts database and from automated matching of your receipt text. It can be incomplete, out of date, or matched to the wrong product. It is provided for general guidance only and is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice — always check the actual product packaging, especially for allergies and health decisions.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, availability, and fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
